Ok, you can put down your drill. With these storage systems, you don’t have to worry about whether you’ve got the right screws and anchors to secure the racks to your walls. Stud finder? You won’t be needing that either. The Art of Storage uses gravity instead of tricky hardware to keep its systems upright.

Led by Jeffrey Greenstein (left) and Errol Drew, the Art of Storage started creating bike stands before expanding into general-purpose shelving and storage units. The company’s bicycle holders are simple yet genius. The Donatello two-bike rack leans against the wall, and so does the Michelangelo two-bike stand (the Donatello holds up to 60 pounds and the Michelangelo holds up to 80 pounds). Both units include adjustable arms to accommodate different bike styles, and the Michelangelo also has extra hooks for helmets and other accessories. If you prefer your wheels to stay grounded, the Rothko rolling bike stand is easy to use and portable.

For general purpose storage in your house or garage, the Three Tier Deluxe Gravity Shelf is another solution that leans against the wall (making it easy to relocate if you move or want to rearrange the room). You don’t need to put holes in the wall for the Jackson Golf Storage Rack, either. It holds up to two sets of golf clubs, plus has shelves for balls, shoes and other golfing gear.
