Something as simple as melted cheese becomes so much more when it’s shared with family and friends. With Boska’s fondue and raclette sets, you can prepare a memorable meal that’s delicious, casual, and completely conducive to mingling.

Fondue involves dipping a solid food, such as bread, fruit or nuts, into a pot of warm melted cheese (or chocolate).For Raclette, melted cheese is poured onto boiled potatoes or bread and typically served with other vegetables and meats, such as pickles, onions, ham or salami. Both dishes are meant for sharing.

The sets we’re featuring come from Boska, a family business started by Willem Bos in 1896 in Bodegraven, Holland. A blacksmith by trade, Willem started making cheese-cutting tools for local farmers. Today his great-grandson, Martijn Bos, runs the business, which offers a range of traditional fondue and raclette sets.

Boska’s Cheese Fondue Nero set includes a fondue pan, mahogany base, six fondue forks and a stainless steel burner. It’s perfect for a small group. The smaller Tapas Cheese Fondue Set, which uses a tea light candle for heating, is best suited for an intimate dinner for two people.

If it’s raclette you’re craving, Boska’s Tapas Cheese Raclette set comes packaged in a wooden box, which doubles as a stand when you’re melting the cheese. It gets its heat from three tea light candles and can be used indoors or outdoors (perfect for summer picnics). The two-tiered Mini Raclette is a plug-in device. You can grill vegetables on the burner before you top them with melted cheese.
