Stan Ades and the team at Pacific Shaving Company have another winner for your medicine cabinet (that’s him with Patti and Jules.)
We’re already big fans of their skin-saving Shaving Oil, which we featured last April. At the time, the Daily Grommet community lit up with comments about Stan’s all-natural shaving cream alternative. It comes in a tiny bottle, but this powerful skin lubricant and moisturizer lasts longer than any conventional can of shaving cream and does a much better job reducing razor burn and irritation.
We’re excited to share another great product from Pacific Shaving that’s designed for your razor. If you apply Blade Oil to your razor after use, it can last nearly twice as long. Stan explains, it’s not the act of shaving that dulls the blade, it’s water left on the blade that causes corrosion and can lead to nicks and cuts on your face. Blade Oil slows the effects of oxidation and extends blade life. You’ll save money by buying fewer blades, and produce less waste for the landfill.
If you do happen to nick your skin, Pacific Shaving has a product for that, too. It’s called the Nick Stick. The Nick Stick is a liquid roll-on (it dries clear) with aloe, vitamins A and E, and other good stuff that takes away the sting and promotes healing. It’s a great thing to have around the house, not only for shaving mishaps but also for any scraped knees and cuts your kids might get.
