Spice up Your Drawers

Young Family, Hammocks and High TeaSometimes it’s the little things that make us feel good, and the details that elevate an everyday item to a luxury. That’s why these beautiful scented drawer liners struck us at Daily Grommet. Young Family, Hammocks and High Tea The exotic flowers, scrolls and geometric patterns put a fresh spin on traditional European imagery and tropical Caribbean designs. The contemporary interpretation is the work of Karen Young, who founded Hammocks & High Tea (even the company name conjures up the laid-back, romantic atmosphere of the tropics).

Karen grew up in in Guyana, a South American country that’s part of the Caribbean community. Hammocks and High Tea Her designs draw from the natural beauty and classic architecture of the coastal country, which was once a British colony. Karen says she’s also inspired by her Scottish-Portuguese grandmother (that’s her on the right). Each of her designs is drawn by hand and screen-printed on rice paper, then the liners are lightly scented with organic essential oils. We’re featuring three designs (Rose Garden, Linden and Caviar), and each is available in lavender or rose tea scent. So if you’re looking for small ways to treat yourself this year, indulge in scented liners that will transport you to another part of the world every time you open a drawer.
