What do you get when you add a magnet to a classic wooden toy? Incredibly dynamic play. These blocks really move. They jump around and either attract or repel each other, depending on the positive/negative charge of the hidden magnets. The magnetism can be a little tricky when you first build with these blocks, but a little experimentation is all part of the fun. You can build gravity-defying structures, move blocks without touching them, and really stretch your inner engineer.
Chris and Will Haughey are the inventors of these amazing blocks, which are made with beechwood from Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras. These brothers deliberately chose to locate their company in Honduras, where the majority of people live in poverty. They’re driven to not only create beautiful, innovative toys but also to help the people of Honduras by providing jobs, taking care of the environment, and spurring entrepreneurship in the area. It’s not lip service for Chris and Will — they’re the real deal. We’re really proud to spread the word about this wonderful new toy from a pair of toy makers who are on a genuine social and ecological mission.
