Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams are the handiwork of Jeni Bauer, who earned her culinary stripes in a local French bakery and fell for the pure European flavors she discovered there. That experience helped define the sophisticated, exotic flavors her business creates — like the irresistible Salty Caramel, which was inspired by the bakery’s traditional French caramels, made from slowly burnt sugars with cream and a little salt. Aficionados have been known to make pilgrimages to Jeni’s hometown just for the Salty Caramel. We’re just as smitten with Jeni’s complex and unexpected Cherry Lambic Sorbet, which perfectly melds sweet and sour, effervescent lambic beer on the mid palate. Just thinking about it gets the mouth watering.

Jeni’s uses only local, organic products, including milk from grass-fed cows. Each batch is hand-packed and shipped from Columbus, Ohio — where longtime fans like Daily Grommet reader Nancy Beja have been savoring and raving about Jeni’s ice cream for years (Nancy even wrote a letter to Jeni on our behalf. We’d been trying for months to share this story with you and Nancy helped to properly introduce us to Jeni. Thanks, Nancy!) All of Jeni’s treats are delivered deeply frozen, so they’re easy to ship (in a pack of nine flavors) just in time for a decadent holiday dinner or to your favorite food-lover for an unforgettable gift.   • BLACK COFFEE: True, strong, undiluted coffee taste thanks to freshly roasted beans ground and steeped in grass-grazed cream. The flavor and aroma of coffee is encapsulated and translated perfectly.
  • BROWN BUTTER ALMOND BRITTLE: Based on the traditional Norwegian dessert krokan. Browned butter gives depth to salty, sweet almond brittle.
  • CHERRY LAMBIC SORBET: Tart, true cherry flavor. Sweet and sour, effervescent Lambic beer on the mid palate. Clean, refreshing, and exhilarating finish.
  • DARK CHOCOLATE: Mouth-filling, palate-gripping, intense chocolate flavor with a fudge-like texture. Pleasingly dry finish.
  • LEMON YOGURT: Pleasantly tart, aromatic, and creamy. Simple and straight-up delicious, it’s Jeni’s long-time favorite.
  • PISTACHIO & HONEY: Creamy, deceptively simple. Pure and true pistachio flavor (pureed nuts) and pure and true pistachio color (beige; we add no artificial green dye). Lightly sweetened by ambrosial Ohio honey. Nutty, naturally, with a savory finish.
  • SALTY CARAMEL: Initial notes of burnt sugar give way to mouth-watering saltiness. A perfect salty/sweet balance.
  • UGANDAN VANILLA BEAN: Fair-trade, 100-percent natural African beans. Rich, full, and heavy vanilla flavor with notes of jasmine, honey, tobacco, and leather. Vanilla ice cream like no other.
  • WILDBERRY LAVENDER: Fruity, with brambly berry flavors, citrus zest, exotic spices, and lavender essential oil.
• Shipping Details: $20.00 for 2 Day shipping + $20.00 per additional order
• Orders are shipped Monday-Wednesday each week and will typically arrive Tuesday-Friday, during the day. Orders placed after 10:00AM EST on Wednesday will likely be shipped the following week. 
• If sent as a gift, we strongly recommend that you notify recipient in advance to expect delivery of a perishable item. Item will be left on the front porch or similar location and will stay frozen into the evening. There will be enough dry ice included in your shipment to last for several hours after delivery. Please handle dry ice with care. Instructions will be provided.
