This woven basket makes it easy to tote laundry, toys and other gear. It's not brittle like most plastic laundry baskets, and it folds flat for easy storage.

Talk about this Grommet
Hello Daily Grommet Fans!
I am Tom Goth, inventor of The BetterBasket and a growing list of other organizational products for daily use. The BetterBasket was a winner from the state of Arizona in QVC’s Quest for America’s Best Products campaign, which was really cool. The first time I was on QVC as a guest host we sold out the entire inventory of BetterBaskets that I had paid for on credit cards in a little over 3 minutes. Whew! For those minutes and shortly thereafter, I felt like a Rock Star. When I got back home, my wife congratulated me, and said I didn’t look too bald on TV but I did look kind of fat! Oh well.

The BetterBasket was designed as The World’s Best Laundry Basket, but is used for many, many other uses like toy/book basket, carrying office files, day trips, picnics, camping, fishing, RV’s, hauling groceries, and more. You can carry up to 3 loads of laundry and still have a free hand for going through doorways or up & down stairs. Let me know what questions you may have for me during the feature on Daily Grommet.

Daily Grommet did a very good job of showing the features and benefits of The BetterBasket. Thank You! Any questions or comments from the gallery?

No questions, just a comment - I love this design! It would be great to assign one to each room in the house for those surprise drop ins - easy straightening up and sorting and the same time.

Very good thought, Nickie. Some customers have given each child their own BetterBasket to help them learn to keep their rooms picked up and help out with the family activities.

i like these a lot. sorting the dirty laundry going down and sorting the clean laundry going back up. looks like a time saver.

Just wondering if this would fit between two seats in a stationwagon? It'd be great to keep kids stuff organized in the car.
AMM on Oct 19, 2009
@AMM - that's a great idea. Both of these sizes are 17" wide - the 2 compartment option is 20" long, and the 3 compartment BetterBasket is 27" long - so you can measure the depth of your car seat to see which one would fit best. Also, you might want to check the height (14") to be sure your children will be able to reach in and grab what they need.

AMM, further to the response from Jeanne, since the basket is made of fabric it can be scrunched into odd shapes as the contents permit and may fit into the available space. The biggest end-use besides laundry is organizing stuff for family trips.

Is there a single compartment version?

To Robyns Online World......I have thought about adding a single compartment version, but have not actually done it. Are you thinking of a shopping bag or something else?

Hey, I really like the new look of the Grommet site!
JWC on Oct 19, 2009
When folded, this basket is as flat and small as a newspaper (remember those?). I can store it between my washer and dryer. When open, it stays upright without awkward spring popup wires. The high-quality of the weaved fabric and the sturdy edging keeps the basket up. They are really nice looking and a much better quality than what you might find in some department stores. @JWC Thanks for your comment! We're glad you like the site.

No, just as an actual laundry basket with one compartment. Just to be able to carry one load to the laundry room and back at a time. It is just what I am used to now. The laundry room is on the main floor of my house, but is very small. I sort in a different room and just take one load to the laundry at a time to put in the washer. As soon as they are done in the dryer I take that load out in a basket and take to the other room also. No room for sorting, folding, hanging, etc. in the actual laundry room.

This is the best basket ever invented!

I just bought my second one of these. They are great. This time I got the two-compartment version because each compartment is a little bit bigger (and our teenage boys -- and their clothes -- are getting bigger. Great product. One handed uses is key. Low weight. Choice of nice colors.
DJP on Jun 18, 2010
@DJP Smart thinking! One-handed lugging is essential when you have kids that's for sure. Thanks for ordering and stopping by to share!
