Chilly autumn nights make for great sleeping weather – unless allergies have you sneezing and wheezing when you should be snoozing. It’s an unsettling fact that allergens like pollen, mold spores and dust collect in bedding. Even more disturbing? Dust mites can colonize your pillows and mattress by the billions. Forget the monster under your bed. It’s the monsters inside your bedding that are really scary.
CleanRest inventor Gary Goldberg decided to find a solution after his son was diagnosed with asthma triggered by a severe allergy to dust mites. Gary, a third generation textile scientist, developed a fabric called MicronOne. The fabric has an extremely tight weave that blocks anything larger than one micron from passing through.
Carolyn B., a friend of Daily Grommet, told us about these CleanRest products made with MicronOne. There’s no plastic feel, like a lot of allergy-blocking materials, yet the fabric still keeps dust mites and their itchy ilk from penetrating. CleanRest uses hypoallergenic fill in its pillows, and the fabric is water-resistant and washable. So cuddle in and enjoy a good night’s rest, sneeze- and wheeze-free.
