This is amazing. Why haven't I heard of it before? Wondering how they got all these athletes together to get it started.

"Thanks for the note! We just launched the brand this Spring -- so it's brand new -- and Daily Grommet has the inside scoop! Our Athlete Co-Founders joined MISSION because they know the need for products that meet the needs for active-lifestyles...and they love the opportunity to be involved in the development too. Get YOUR MISSION ON!

@Josh This product really was great for my triathlon. I am fair and sunscreen is a requirement for everyday but I usually skip the sunscreen when doing triathlons because it gets in my eyes or makes my hands slippery for the bike. Mission worked like a charm!

I LOVE your Anti-Sting face stick! It gives me the protection I need and it never irritates my eyes. I even let my 4 year old daughter use it. She's a red head with very sensitive skin. Your Face Stick is the first sunscreen that is actually a "NO TEARS" sunscreen!! Thank you! Question: I'm always looking for new products that meet the demands of my busy lifestyle. Will you be creating other products? If so, what will they be and where can I find them? Will you have a body lotion??

My family went on vacation a few years ago in Europe. It was very hot and there was lots of sunlight, so we were using lots of sunscreen. Sooner or later, the sunscreen would get into my eyes, which would sting terribly. Since we were in a tour bus, it wasn't easy to get any water. My wife had to wheedle a bottle of water from someone, and then showed me a good trick wherein you fill the cap with water and sort of splash it into your eye. That worked (thanks, Cheryl!!) but it would have been so much better to not have had the problem in the first place. I have sort of olive/dark skin (Ashkenazi Jewish) like my Dad, and generally don't tan or burn easily. The first day I was on the beach this season, I just put on a little sun screen here and there. Big mistake. I had to go get benzocaine spray (Solaraine, e.g.); my skin is still peeling right now after many weeks. Skin cancer is no joke: one really needs sunscreen. I have two close women friends. One of them used to smoke and used to sunbathe with little protection, and her skin really suffered from it. The other never smoked, and is scrupulously careful about using sunscreen; she looks at least ten years younger than she actually is, in large part because of her near-perfect complexion. So if the cancer threat doesn't motivate you, maybe this will! I'm looking forward to checking out these products. Knowing that the Daily Grommet team has tested them, I'm pretty confident that I'll be happy with them (I buy lots of Grommets!).

Question for Amanda Beard -- Congratulations on all your success! I love what you are doing with MISSION Skincare. How did you become involved with the company?
Chris on Aug 11, 2009
Can't wait to try this product. Just came back from a year in Singapore, one degree from the equator. It worried me to be running and walking daily out in the heat, without wearing sunscreen but all the products I tried were either too heavy or would stream into your eyes. It's wonderful when the end users are apart of the design process. Thanks!

Thanks for the nice words. I became aware of MISSION through various other athlete’s that had been speaking with Josh. Once I heard the vision of the company I knew this was something I wanted to be involved with! It is not only a terrific line of products it also supports my charity which is very important to me.

Great comments about the Anti-Sting Facestick. Actually, one of our co-founding athletes, Charlie Engle, helped us in our product development after he ran across the Sahara Desert in 111 days in a row (55 miles/day) to help raise money for clean water in Africa (Matt Damon did a documentary about him and two other MISSION runners called “Running the Sahara”). A few weeks ago, Charlie (who is 46 years old) used his MISSION to run 135 Miles in 24 straight hours in Death Valley (in 125 degree weather)! So, if it works for him, it will work for us weekend warriors and soccer moms and dads!

I am a long time runner who has recently become interested in triathlons. Currently, I'm experiencing terrible chaffing. My wet suit is rubbing against my skin causing terrible discomfort. My skin on my shoulders, hips and thighs . . . is sore, red and very raw!! I've tried everything from Vaseline to performance powders and B.Glide. Nothing I've tried seems to work. I've even tried a sportslick that is specifically designed for the water. Most of the products I've tried either dont work, or, they are scented. Additionally, I'm a "germaphobe". So, I'm not comfortable using a product that is in a deoderant "stick" form, on raw or blistered skin. The bacteria from the raw skin and blisters will remain on the stick until I next use it! That is gross!! I've just heard from a fellow triathlete that you have a product called "Anti Friction Cream". Can you tell me a little bit about it and why you think it might work for my problem? I'm completely discouraged and if I don't find something soon, I will just give up the swimming and go back to running

Hi Bonnie…I feel your pain…literally…not only that, but there are a few of us “germaphobes” at MISSION as well. You are correct about our Anti-Friction Cream. What makes it unique is that it is Silicone-based as opposed some of the wax-based sticks that are out there---this means that a little bit goes a long way, it breaks down at much higher temperatures and it lasts many more hours than other alternatives. Additionally, since it is a cream in a tube, you will not have the issues involved with the “sticks” that are out there. Also, it has Vitamin E, Aloe, Tea Tree Oil, Jojoba, Shea Butter and lots of great ingredients so that you do not get “rubbed the wrong way

I was one of the people asked by the Grommet team to check this out on a trip to Italy this summer. I was a doubting Thomas -- how can you have sun screen that's not greasy? How can you have sunscreen that does not sting? Well, both products worked as advertised! Amazing "science" that you guys have come up with. Nice value for the package that Grommet is offering today. Now that summer has FINALLY arrived in New England, I'd better order now.

Hello. I just want you to know that I recently purchased the Organic Strawberry Lip Balmer. WOW!! It is amazing. It smells soooo good and it tastes sooo good! My normally chapped lips feel soft and youthful and I don't have to reapply it often because it is super long lasting! Extra added bonus . . . It has SPF 15 so I'm protecting my lips too!! I cant wait to tell my friends about this!! I can't wait to try some of the other flavors!! My question is . . . Why is Amanda Beards name on the tube and what does she have to do with MISSION. I will write again soon to give you feedback on the facestick SPF 30 that I also purchased but I haven't had a chance to use yet.

Thanks for the comment. We have had similar feedback on our Strawberry Lip Balmer, everyone seems to love the flavor! Amanda Beard is one of our founding athlete's and we have a number of lip balms that are designed specifically for a select group of our athlete partners.
