Talk about this Grommet
One of my sling secrets that I don't mention in today's story is that it's great to keep one rolled up in your diaper bag. Even if you think you're going to use your stroller, there are definitely times when a sling gives you a little more freedom to maneuver, and if you have one handy you might just make a last minute switch.

I have to admit I was watching the video waiting for the demonstration of how to put it on by flipping it here, tying it there, snugging it just right and when there wasn't one, I realized that it must simply go over the head and rest on your shoulder! Too simple! I needed an instruction manual for all the belts and buckles that came with the carrier I used with my son! This is great, baby carrying has definitely blossomed in the past years and you make it so stylish to do!

I had the same problem with buckled carriers. Baby Slings are the easiest and most natural way to carry your baby for sure! The most fun is having something that is beautiful as well as functional.

Tara--the couple of slings I tried when my boys were little scared me...the baby did not feel secure enough. I thought they could fall out if I leaned over so I found I always had my hand on it which took away a lot of the benefit of having free hands. I get the impression that with a tiny baby, and the curved seam that that is not an issue with your design...but can you talk about that? Can you really lean over and pick something up? Do you really have nearly full use of your hands?

Jules, If you sling is correctly sized, you should be able to bend over an pick something up. I did most of my housework while wearing my baby. I had one of those that didn't give me much choice. Of course, with this design it always a good idea to keep at least one hand on the baby when you lean over. They are secure, but one must always use common sense. No acrobats please, and your baby will be safe :)

Tara- The fabric in your papoose is so gorgeous and vibrant. Do you have to do anything special to wash the papoose to keep that gorgeous color? I know my kids always get food and other fun stuff on everything they wear.

I usually suggest washing your sling on delicate in cold water, and then hanging it dry to extend its life. You can wash and dry them, but as with anything, the first option will save its color. You most certainly need to wash anything that has to do with an infant as you mentioned, but these are easy to care for.
