Easy to Love Listening

Like the pair of worn-out jeans that you reach for on Sunday morning, Will Dailey’s voice exudes the perfect mix of comfort and reassurance. This award-winning singer/songwriter blends folk, electric rock and country influences to create a sound that’s got a soulful, laidback vibe. In just one listen, he’ll hook you into a world laden with warm, multi-layered meaning. If any of his melodies sound familiar it’s because you may have heard them on your favorite TV shows like The Hills, Jericho, Numb3rs, Eli Stone, NCIS and CSI.

With his latest effort — Torrent 1&2 —Dailey opted for an unconventional release, putting the work out piecemeal earlier this year in order to share the immediacy of the recording process with his fans. Now united, the two volumes form an “ongoing conversation” with his audience, says Dailey. Torrent features Roger McGuinn of the Byrds (a childhood hero and important musical influence of Dailey’s) and cameos by Elliott Easton (The Cars) and Tim Brennan (Dropkick Murphys) among others. Just like those jeans, this album is destined to become a favorite you reach for again and again.
