MagWear Magnetic Wristbands

Story

Protect Yourself from Screwy Mishaps

Screws and nails do not belong in your mouth. Ditto pins.

Yet, you’ve probably stuck a few sharp objects in your mouth “for safe keeping” while you worked on a ladder or sewed a patch on your son’s Boy Scout uniform. After all, you don’t want to lose track of dangerous pointy objects — especially if you live in a house with curious kids or pets.

Still, nails do not belong in your mouth. Think about what would happen if someone suddenly gave you a hardy pat on the back. Gulp!

Fortis Design has come up with a nifty solution. It’s a small plastic tray you wear on your wrist. Attached is a super powerful magnet that holds most hardware, small tools, and other magnetic objects in place. The wristbands weigh in at just over 2 ounces, so you’ll hardly know it’s there.

Strap one on and climb that ladder, crawl into that crawl space, or wiggle under your car. Fortis calls these “handyman’s helpers” –- and they make great Father’s Day gifts — but they also work with straight pins (so you crafters won’t lose them in your comfy chair) or even hairpins (imagine the updos you could invent with two free hands).
