Talk about this Grommet
Zip-n-fun!
I’m so excited that my blankets are featured here today! For some time, I searched for the perfect weatherproof outdoor blanket, but the ones I found on the internet or at the stores were either too hard to fold, too small, had separate carrying cases or straps that I knew I would lose, never seemed to fit back in the original bag, or were cheaply made.
I was on a mission, so I decided to see if my mom, who is an excellent seamstress, could make what I was looking for.
After spending a year finding the best materials and designing prototypes my mother and I came up with the Zip-n-go Blanket™. It was important for us to keep production in America, and that is why our blankets are made in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I look forward to reading your comments!

I really like how big this blanket is, and the blue and brown design is nice.

When we lived in NYC we'd often go for picnics in Central Park and lug around a blanket and a plastic cover to put under it. This is much less bulky, which is great when you have kids and you know, travel with lots of stuff to begin with.

Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to thank everyone at the Daily Grommet for featuring the Zip-n-go Blanket. I also like to add that the blanket is washable on the gentle cycle and can be tumbled dry.
Thanks,
Jennifer
In Minnesota you're advised to have a blanket in your car during the winter. I shudder to think of being stranded to the point that I need to huddle in a blanket to survive but this would perfect! Perfect because it's multifunctional...it's there in case of an emergency, but it's also there for a spontaneous picnic with a view, going to watch a game, etc, etc. Great product!

@Katherine...funny you should mention that. I'm not a worst-case-scenario person very often, but the car is one place where I like to feel like I have all the bases covered. I am more likely to wear heavy winter gear for a long drive than for a walk in the snow. Same with having a blanket in the car at all times. This Zip-n-go would beat the cheap airline one I have taking up room in the trunk...with the appealing picnic and sports potential you mention.

How can I purchase this blanket
Donna Lelke

How come the price is not $50.00 when I tried to make the purchase? Will I be able to get the blanket for that price even if it's no longer on sale because it's advertised on your site?

@Trang, we often feature a special price for a Grommet during the first 24 hours it is featured. Then, when it moves to our "Shop More Grommets" catalog, pricing is typically set at standard retail. We apologize for any confusion here -- and feedback from you and others, we've made some site changes to alleviate this type of confusion.

If you're reading the comments here, you may notice Donna's question. I emailed Donna directly to follow up with her back in April -- but if anyone else has the same question, if you'd like to buy a Grommet, just click "Buy it Now" under it's photo. We'll hook you right up with a way to purchase.
